The current or the existing souq.com wish lists, delivery addresses, orders, and customer credentials will get transitioned to Amazon.eg, accounts safely. Now, customers can shop on this e-commerce platform for delivery anywhere in Egypt. For that, they can use the Amazon mobile app and select “Egypt” in the setting.
On the other hand, customers can further type www.amazon.eg, on their mobile or desktop browser for visiting the website. Both the app and website present a rich browsing experience in English and Arabic languages. There will be trusted reviews on the products, proficient search results, and personalized recommendations. Furthermore, there will be simple order management from the house of Amazon.
It was on Tuesday when Amazon Fulfillment Center was inaugurated on the 10th of Ramadan City, in front of PM Mostafa Madbouly. Dr. Amr Talaat, Nevin Gamea, Dr. Mamdouh Ghorab, and Mohamed Abdel Wahab were also present for the ceremony. This Amazon Fulfillment Center is situated in 28,000 square meters, and it is a major part of Egypt’s logistic sector. So, that helps in delivering the purchase in a faster and most convenient manner.
The app has been localized for a seamless experience. Now, the shoppers can search for their chosen items and pay in Egyptian Pounds using prepaid cards, debit, or credit cards. There is also a COD option available. From Amazon.eg, customers will receive next-day and same-day delivery options and even free delivery services on orders above 350 Egyptian pounds. This is a new customer base for the Amazon group, whose main intention is to expand its business module globally.
